How to Pricematch

How to Pricematch:
What I do is print out this list and take it right to Walmart.
Load up your cart and when you get to the register be sure to separate your price matching stuff and put it at the end.
Tell the cashier you have price matching and just read off the list as they scan it and they will adjust the price.
Remember, you can match generic, produce, and meats-not just name brand items!
The best deals are the ones that you pricematch AND have a coupon for!

Thanks to everyone who shared and posted on their facebook about the chain!  If you want please feel free to post about the chain on your facebook with my email address and have your friends email me if they want on the chain. Also you can find a copy of this email and the pricematching list on my blog http://carrie-onbaggage.blogspot.com/ if that is easier for you to pass on to people without the commitment of giving out their email address.  I also have a friend in the Kansas City area who does this exact same thing, so if you know someone in that area, please let me know and I will send you her email for her chain!
For everyone's protection, I am blind carbon copying everyone's email addresses.  If at anytime you ever want off the chain, please let me know, I don't want to spam your inbox!!

I also offer a  "Menu Planning with Pricematching" email.  If you would like recieve this email, please email me and let me know that you would like to get it.  I plan on having it out with in a day after the pricematching email so you can get your shopping done as soon as you are ready.

Thanks to http://www.totallytarget.comhttp://www.krazycouponlady.com, and http://dealseekingmom.com/ for their blog posts that give me all the good deals information and the coupon database I use for matchups!

How to Pricematch: What I do is print out this list and take it right to Walmart (or retrieve it on your smart phone by clicking on the PDF format attachment!).  Load up your cart and when you get to the register be sure to separate your price matching stuff and put it at the end.  Then tell the cashier you have price matching and just read off the list as they scan it and they will adjust the price. Remember, you can match generic, produce, and meats-not just name brand items! I tried to hunt down the coupon match ups as best I could! Remember that the best deals are the ones that you pricematch AND have a coupon for!

Something to note about my abbreviation "SV" - it means Select Varieties. Because the advertisement says "Select Varieties", Walmart will allow you to choose from ANY variety of that particular item. Example: Hershey's Baking Chips, SV 8-12 oz: You can select from any variety of Hershey's baking chips (butterscotch, peanut butter, milk chocolate) so long as they are within the 8-12 oz size guideline.

Tip of the week: Have you ever been questioned about a pricematch or told "that wasn't the policy" by a cashier?  A lot of couponers and pricematchers print out the store coupon policies and carry them when they grocery shop.  That way, if they are ever questioned, they can pull out the policy direct from headquarters.  Don't be afraid to ask for a manager if you know you are right!  Here are the coupon policies for Walmart (also walmart's pricematching policy),Target, and Walgreens.  Print them out and have them on hand!!

Tip of the week:  Due to the show Extreme Couponing, there has been more scrutiny of couponers and pricematchers today.  I once had a person tell me that using coupons or pricematching was tantamount to "stealing".  This could not be further from the truth.  In fact, you should NEVER feel guilty for getting the best deals.  If you use a manufactures coupon, the store you are using it at gets reimbursed for the full amount PLUS extra money for shipping and processing charges.  By matching these coupons with sales you are just being a smart savvy shopper!  If you follow the rules then you are just doing what stores and product manufactures want you to do, try their product out!!  People forget that grocery stores purchase these items in bulk for pennies on the dollar and don't like to lose money on the products.  Manufactures make these products for even cheaper.  The reason they put coupons out there is to advertise.  They hope that people will try their product and get hooked.  So they want you to use coupons and they want you to try it.  Grocery stores are hoping that if you come in for one thing, you will leave with 20, that's why they have sales.  They also have sales to rotate stock.  You are not stealing or frauding anyone, you are playing the system just right!  Stand strong fellow saver!!

As always if you ever see a good deal I missed (because I'm basically working off my shopping list here) please email and let me know so I can send out another email to everyone!  This chain is intended to get lots of good deals from everyone to help everyone out!
